FAQ
What is FLIPS?
A trading desk and journal. You connect a live or prop account, log the session, keep the rules, recap, and share a card. It is not a broker, not a signal service, and not financial advice.
What does it not do?
It does not hold your funds, place entries for you, or guarantee P&L. Kill switch can flatten a live TradeLocker or MT5 book after a rule break. It cannot lock you out of the broker login itself.
How do I start a trial?
When the app is public, the code LOCKIN unlocks 14 days. Join the waitlist before launch and you keep 50% off ($24.99/mo vs $49). Miss the list and it's $49/mo after the trial.
Why did my flip wipe after login?
The Grok preview tab is a scratch pad. Always open the published link (the grok.me / custom domain URL) and sign in. Cloud flips sit on that login, not on the preview.
Which brokers actually work?
TradeLocker and MT5 for live (pull + kill). Tradovate for Apex / Lucid / Tradeify and TopstepX for Topstep (pull, no kill). Anything else: CSV or manual log. See the table above.
Does kill switch work on prop?
No. Prop desks are track and recap only. Flattening a prop account can violate the firm's rules. Kill is live TradeLocker and live MT5 only, and you can toggle it off on the Kill page.
How fast is kill switch?
It watches while the desk tab is open and closes as soon as a live rule-break fill is seen — usually a few seconds, not instant at the broker. Keep the desk open during the session if you want it armed.
I blew a funded. Do I lose the data?
No. Mark the flip blown. Tickets, notes, and recaps stay on that flip so you can look back. Open a new flip for the next eval.
How do recap GIFs work in Discord?
Recap → copy GIF or post to the FLIPS room. Use Copy GIF so Discord gets the moving file, not a still PNG. Set your Discord handle on Account.
Eval vs funded vs spend?
On a prop flip, set the stage (eval / funded / blown), log the eval fee, and use Money for payouts. House stats split eval P&L from funded P&L so a blown account doesn't erase the tape.
How do I cancel or change the card?
Account → Manage billing opens Stripe. Cancel anytime. Access runs to the end of the paid period.
Who sees my trades?
You, on your login. Recaps you post go to the Discord you choose. The owner can see that you have a plan and summary stats to run the product — not to copy your book. Privacy page has the rest.
